Remindfulness App Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Remindfulness (the "Application") and the website www.remindfulnessapp.com and related sites owned and managed by Naomi Janzen (Freedom Techniques). It explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Application or our websites, you consent to the practices described in this policy.
The ApplicationThe Remindfulness Application delivers practice reminders and lets you share reminders and the app with others. The core reminder features work on your device and do not require you to create an account or provide personal information to us.
Sharing features: When you share a reminder or the app link, you may use your device's standard share options (for example email, text message, or other apps installed on your device). We do not collect or store the email addresses, phone numbers, or contacts you use when sharing, and this information is not transmitted to us or to any third party by the Application.
AdvertisingThe free version of the Application displays advertising provided by Google, through the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). To serve ads, Google may collect and process certain information from your device, which can include your device's advertising identifier, IP address, device type and operating system, general location inferred from your IP address, and information about how you interact with ads. This information is used by Google to serve and measure ads.
Depending on your consent and settings, ads may be personalised (based on your interests) or non-personalised. Google's use of data is governed by Google's own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy. You can learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Removing ads: The Application offers a one-time in-app purchase that removes advertising. If you purchase this, ads and the associated ad-related data collection by the ad SDK no longer apply within the Application.
App Tracking Transparency (Apple devices)On Apple devices, before any advertising identifier is used to personalise ads, the Application will ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You may choose to allow or decline. If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalised using the advertising identifier. You can change this choice at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy and Security.
Consent for users in the European Economic Area, UK and SwitzerlandIf you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the Application will present a consent message (provided through Google's User Messaging Platform) before serving personalised ads, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the ePrivacy Directive. You may consent to or decline the use of your data for personalised advertising, and you may change your choice later where a privacy options control is provided.
Information collected automaticallyThe Application and our websites may automatically collect limited technical information such as device type, operating system, unique device or advertising identifiers, IP address, and information about how the Application or site is used. On our websites, this may include browser type, pages viewed, and time spent. This information is used to operate and improve the Application and websites, to serve and measure advertising as described above, and to help diagnose technical problems.
Crash and diagnostic informationIf the Application experiences a problem, diagnostic information may be generated on your device. We can only access such a diagnostic file if you choose to send it to us, for example when contacting support about a specific issue. Diagnostic files of this kind do not contain information that identifies you personally.
LocationThe Application does not request precise location (such as GPS). As noted above, advertising services may infer a general, approximate location from your IP address for the purpose of serving ads.
