A Christmas Song Family "Squabble"
What happens when a mom who co-invented the famous game Balderdash and her Canada's Got Talent Semi-Finalist son
record two versions of the same new original Christmas song?
They ask you to VOTE - for which version you think is the most 'Christmassy'!
The song is called "Let's Stay Home For Christmas" and was written by three friends:
Laura Robinson, Naomi Janzen (that's me) and Joanne Perica.
After three years of doing everything we can think of, using every contact we could come up with to no avail, we've given up trying to get this song to some big shot record producer and decided to take it straight to you.
A great idea - except...we can't agree on which version to use!
So, we're asking you.
Laura's take is acoustic, a little bit folk, a little bit softer, while her son Jack delivers on the 'big band' style of the second version, reflecting his love of classic standards and the modern spin put on them by his idol Michael Buble.
They certainly have their differences but we think the message shines through in both.
We hope you enjoy this bit of holiday fun and most of all, that you will love this song -
whichever one you pick - as much as we do.
Click on the videos below to LISTEN and then VOTE for your favorite. Then, be sure to SHARE this poll so we can get
as many votes as possible! And if you're feeling particularly generous, we'd love it if you left
a note (comments/opinions/who you'd like to hear record their own version) below.
Wishing you a merry, musical and peace-filled Christmas -- Naomi, Laura, Joanne and Jack
