UPDATE
#11:
Oops - spoke too soon. Actually, if you uninstall the app and then power off and on your phone and then reinstall the app, it works! (But I'm still working on an update)
UPDATE #10: Oh, the woes of the independent developer who relies on programmers to code. Just updated my iPhone 6S to iOS 10.2 and killed Remindfulness. Well, it's not completely dead, it just doesn't work anymore. We've been here before. It just means I have to get my coder person to put down their turkey-laden fork and make the necessary fixes. Kind of actually surprised I haven't had any support tickets yet! (That's what usually alerts me since I'm a straggler when it comes to updating my iOS for just this reason). Anyway, thank you in advance for your patience as I work to resolve this and get everything working mindfully again :-) Watch this space for the happy announcement, as always!
UPDATE #9: The latest update is LIVE and AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD on the app store. Remindfulness works again!!
UPDATE #8: Finally got it working with iOS 9!! So excited!! Waiting for apple to review the code and approve it for the iTunes store (always a fingernail biting exercise. Thank goodness for tapping :) Will keep you posted...
UPDATE #7: Nooooo!!! iOS9 causes all kinds of problems with Remindfulness. I'm working to fix them but ask for your patience because, unfortunately, I've had to get in line behind a bunch of other people whose apps stopped working properly in iOS9... Stay tuned....
UPDATE #6: YAY!!! Today (january 31 here in Australia) the new update 2.1 went LIVE in the App Store. Thrilled to announce the app now works with iOS 8 and also has screens for iPhone 6 and 6Plus. WHEW. It was a bit of a long journey, since so much needed to be fixed with the substantial changes required by iOS 8's very new architecture (turns out it wasn't something solvable by new updates of iOS 8 alone :-/)-- but at last all is well. Remindfulness Recover Edition is next up for a revamp. Stay tuned!
UPDATE #5: Yikes! Apple's latest update - to iOS 8.0.2 - is a bit of a disaster for Remindfulness, both editions. If you're reading this, it's probably because you have run into the bug this new operating system has created - of freezing the app's controls. I've got an email in to the Apple developers about it but from all my research online, it looks like the only fix will be when Apple comes out with iOS 8.1 in a few weeks. Lots of apps are having similar problems. You can read about what's going on
here
. All I can suggest is hang tight. The good news is it's an Apple problem. iOS 8.0 didn't cause any malfunctioning, so there's good reason to hope 8.1 won't either.
UPDATE #4: The "Yours" button issue has been fixed in 2.0 and this version of Remindfulness works great with iOS 8. Being an app that uses a lot of memory, however, it's advisable to make sure you periodically quit apps running unnecessarily in the background, as also mentioned below. This will help not only Remindfulness but all your apps function better.
Update #3: As of Dec 16, we have discovered that
pressing the "Yours" button on the Customize screen when the list of user-added reminders is empty, causes a freeze. This will be fixed in the early January update. Stay tuned!
Update #2: When using iOS 7 on an iPhone 4, it's helpful to quit out of background apps your aren't actively using so that Remindfulness has all the device memory it needs. Do this by double clicking the Home button and swiping sideways to locate the running apps, one by one. Swipe up and away on the corresponding screen images above each icon to quit that app. This does not uninstall those apps, it just stops them from using the device's memory unnecessarily.
Update #1: As of January 16, 2013 a couple of users have contacted me with problems that were quickly resolved by the "clean install" method below. If your app isn't behaving, please start by giving this series of steps a try...
To perform a Clean Install:
1) double click the device home button to reveal the active icon tray
2) press the Remindfulness icon until a red minus sign appears
3) click the red minus sign to force quit the app
4) double click home button again to return to the home screen
5) press the Remindfulness icon until the red x appears
6) click the red x to delete the app
7) power off your phone using the button on the top of the phone until the slider appears onscreen and slide to power off
8) wait 5 mins or so
9) power on the phone using the top button
10) reinstall the Remindfulness app (preferably while connected to wi-fi as opposed to 3G)
11) when app is installed, adjust the notification settings in the device settings to
Alert Style
and
1 Recent
12) open the Remindfulness app and try again - hopefully it all works now
If the problem
hasn't
gone away, please use the contact form below to describe your device, operating system and the issue. Thanks for giving us the chance to get it working properly for you!
