Time for a NEW Christmas song...
About opting out of the "crazy side" of Christmas and allowing this time of year to be about the magic of just reconnecting with your loved ones. If you agree that sounds nice...
Please listen by watching these short music/lyrics videos One version is soft and folky, sung by co-writer Laura (she invented the famous board game Balderdash) and the other has a cheerful "Buble" vibe, sung by her son (and CTG semi-finalist Jack Ettlinger). We couldn't decide which version you'd like best so here they both are and you can VOTE. Then, please click SHARE to let your friends vote - and we'd so appreciate your comments below, too. Wishing you a merry, musical and peace-filled Christmas -- Naomi, Laura, Joanne and Jack |

"Let's Stay Home For Christmas" was written by three friends: Laura Robinson, Naomi Janzen and Joanne Perica.
We've been trying to get this song to a record producer but we keep hearing "It's great but - sorry - singers only want to record Christmas songs people already KNOW". So...we decided to make it INTO a Christmas song people know. By sharing it online! And to show that this song can be sung in lots of different ways, Laura recorded one version and we got her son, Jack, to record another version. Laura's take is acoustic, a little bit folk, a little bit softer - while her son Jack Ettlinger goes for a 'big band' vibe on the second version, celebrating his love of classic standards and the modern spin put on them by his idol, Michael Buble. We hope you enjoy this bit of holiday fun and most of all, that you will love this song - whichever one you pick - as much as we do. |
